Abstract

A production method of the invention is a method for producing a sulfide solid electrolyte by using a raw material composition containing lithium (Li), phosphorus (P) and sulfur (S) elements. The raw material composition contains one or more sulfur-containing components containing sulfur (S) element, and one or more sulfur-free components not containing sulfur (S) element. D<1> is equal to or less than 5.0×D<2>, where D<1> is a volume cumulative particle diameter D<50> at a cumulative volume of 50 vol% of at least one of the sulfur-containing components, the volume cumulative particle diameter D<50> of the sulfur-containing component being measured by a laser diffraction/scattering particle size distribution measurement method, and D<2> is a volume cumulative particle diameter D<50> at a cumulative volume of 50 vol% of at least one of the sulfur-free components, the volume cumulative particle diameter D<50> of the sulfur-free component being measured by a laser diffraction/scattering particle size distribution measurement method. The volume cumulative particle diameter D<50> of at least one of the sulfur-containing components is 50 µm or less.
