Abstract

A thermal management system for a fuel cell vehicle is provided that comprises a fuel cell system and a cooling system. The thermal management system comprises a first coolant heating circuit comprising a coolant heater configured to preheat the portion of the coolant before starting up the fuel cell system and coupled to a main cooling circuit and configured to have a portion of the coolant being selectively passed therethrough; a second coolant heating circuit comprising a cabin heater and coupled to the main cooling circuit and configured to have a portion of the coolant in the pump downstream portion being selectively passed therethrough; and a third coolant heating circuit comprising a cryogenic hydrogen storage heater configured to regulate a temperature of a cryogenic hydrogen storage of the fuel cell vehicle and coupled to the main cooling circuit and configured to have a portion of the coolant in the pump downstream portion being selectively passed therethrough.
