Abstract

The disclosure relates to a cell (10) for an energy storage device (20), the cell (10) comprising: a first conductive substrate (12), a second conductive substrate (14), and a separating substrate (16) arranged between the first conductive substrate (12) and the second conductive substrate (14), wherein the first conductive substrate (12), the second conductive substrate (14) and the separating substrate (16) are arranged as a plurality of overlapping layers in a cell form, wherein the first conductive substrate (12) comprises a plurality of first tabs (120), wherein the plurality of first tabs (120) comprises a first outer tab extending from an outer layer of the plurality of overlapping layers and a first inner tab extending from an inner layer from the plurality of overlapping layers, the inner layer being located closer to a center of the cell form than the outer layer, wherein a length of the first outer tab is longer than a length of the first inner tab, and wherein the plurality of first tabs (120) is folded towards the center of the cell form such that adjacent first tabs in the plurality of first tabs (120) are in contact with one another.
