Abstract
A modular electrical connector assembly comprising a connector body having at least one compartment configured to receive and retain a connector sub-module, wherein the connector body comprises at least one latch moveable between an open position and a closed position; and a cover configured to be engaged with the connector body in an assembled position, so as to at least partially cover the at least one compartment. The connector body and the cover are configured such that that cover can be located in the assembled position when the at least one latch is in the closed position, and such that the cover cannot be located in the assembled position when the at least one latch is in the open position.
