Abstract

An aerosol generation apparatus comprising a controller 50 configured to instruct aerosol generating unit circuitry 60 and monitor the status of the aerosol generating unit circuitry. The controller compares the aerosol generating unit instructed status and aerosol generating unit actual status to identify the presence of faults within the aerosol generation apparatus. The present disclosure includes a method of detecting faults, a computer readable medium storing instructions to perform the method, and a system including the aerosol generating unit and an article configured to hold aerosol-forming material.
