Abstract

The present invention relates to a ferment extract of a strain of Bacillus velezensis species deposited in the Spanish Type Culture Collection under accession number CECT 31027, to a method for the cosmetic, non-therapeutic treatment and/or care of the skin comprising the topical administration of an effective amount of a ferment extract, and to uses thereof, in particular to cosmetic uses for improving the appearance of acne-prone skin, reducing the appearance of oil or pores on the skin and/or reversing the effects caused by ageing on the skin. It also relates to a cosmetic composition comprising the ferment extract, and to a cosmetic method for improving the state of the skin, preferably human skin.
