Abstract

A rigid insulation foam product is provided in folded or in rolled form. The rigid insulation foam product comprises a plurality of parallel segments of rigid polymer foam. Each of the segments comprises when the folded or rolled rigid foam product is unfolded or unrolled to a flat rigid insulation foam product, a top surface, a bottom surface and two side surfaces; wherein the top surface is opposite to the bottom surface. Each of the segments comprises at its top surface a first facing and its bottom surface a second facing. The rigid polymer foam has been foamed onto the first facing and onto the second facing. The plurality of parallel segments comprises a first segment and a second segment. The first segment is adjacent to the second segment. The second facing of the first segment continues into the second facing of the second segment. The side surfaces of the first segment and of the second segment facing each other in unrolled or unfolded condition have been established by cutting into the rigid polymer foam except for a section of at most 5 mm above the second facing. The side surfaces of the first segment and of the second segment facing each other in said section have been established by breaking by a bending movement of the rigid polymer foam.
