Abstract

The disclosure relates to a rear part structure (10) for a vehicle body, wherein the rear part structure (10) comprises a base part (20) and a plate part (30) attached to the base part (20), wherein the base part (20) is made from a metal casting, and wherein the plate part (30) is attached to a base part portion (21) of the base part (20), thereby forming a beam segment (40) in the rear part structure (10), wherein the plate part (30) is attached by one or more fasteners (1) to one or more base part members (22) of the base part portion (21).
