Abstract
An image forming method may include applying a liquid to a coating layer (M) of a medium (2) that includes a thermosensitive layer (L) and the coating layer (M), wherein the thermosensitive layer (L) includes a color developer (P) and a leuco dye (Q) that reacts with the color developer (P) at a first temperature or higher, the coating layer (M) includes a polymer (R), and the liquid includes a first organic solvent and resin particles; blowing a gas at a second temperature to a surface of the medium (2) where the liquid has been applied; and drying the medium (2) on which the liquid has been applied at a third temperature after the blowing. A solubility parameter of the first organic solvent may be 9.0 or more and less than 12.0. A following relationship may be satisfied: the second temperature < a minimum film-forming temperature of the resin particles in the liquid < the third temperature < the first temperature.
