Abstract

A method of manufacturing a treated medium (2) by performing a treatment on a medium (2) may be provided, in which the medium (2) may be a paperboard in which a coating layer including a binder is disposed on a surface layer of the medium (2). The method may include heating the medium (2), and applying ink to the coating layer after the heating. The heating may include, when a heating temperature is X [°C] and a heating time is Y [minutes], heating the medium (2) such that a relationship of X ≥ 70 and Y > -0.04X + 6.165 (where Y > 0) is satisfied.
