Abstract

Provided is a method and an apparatus for determining an estimated remaining driving range of an electric vehicle. The method (200) comprises determining (210), by using at least one computational model, a plurality of remaining driving range predictions, each of the plurality of remaining driving range predictions being based on a corresponding time window of driving history of the vehicle. Further, the method comprises determining (220) characteristic parameters of a probability distribution function formed at least approximately by the plurality of remaining driving range predictions. The method further comprises determining (230) at least one estimated remaining driving range of the vehicle and a corresponding confidence level based on the characteristic parameters of the probability distribution function. Further, the method comprises outputting (240) the at least one estimated remaining driving range of the vehicle and the corresponding confidence level.
