Abstract

An image forming apparatus includes a motor, a drive control portion, a first operating portion, and a second operating portion. The drive control portion drives the motor so as to be capable of making a switch between a rotation in a first rotation direction and a rotation in a second rotation direction. The first operating portion conveys, at a time the motor is rotating in the first rotation direction, a sheet along a conveying path in an image forming process for forming an image on the sheet. The second operating portion conveys, at a time the motor is rotating in the second rotation direction, the sheet that has been inserted from a manual sheet feed port to the conveying path.
