Abstract

A communication device includes a first acceptance processing portion, a first setting processing portion, and a prohibition processing portion. The first acceptance processing portion accepts a setting operation for setting a destination category of a first destination of an email unsent. The first setting processing portion sets enable/disable of an encryption function for encrypting the email by S/MIME. The prohibition processing portion prohibits, when the encryption function is enabled, one or both of the acceptance of the setting operation for setting the destination category of the first destination to BCC by the first acceptance processing portion and the sending of the email including the first destination having the destination category set to BCC.
