Abstract

Disclosed in the present application are a defect detection method and system, which belong to the technical field of defect detection. The present application involves: obtaining battery cell images acquired from multiple angles, the battery cell images including a tab portion of a battery cell; performing, by a target detection model, tab defect detection on the battery cell images acquired from multiple angles to obtain a tab detection result, the target detection model being configured to perform tab positioning and tab defect identification; and completing defect detection based on the tab detection result. By using a target detection model to perform tab defect detection on battery cell images acquired from multiple angles, a defect in a tab portion is accurately detected. Compared with manual identification for a tab defect, this improves the efficiency and precision of tab defect detection, and increases the identification rate of minor tab defects.
