Abstract

A split module for a modular connector assembly, comprising: a module casing; and at least one terminal cavity that is adapted to accommodate an electrical terminal and is formed along a longitudinal axis of the module casing; wherein the module casing comprises a fastening element for fastening the module casing to a second module casing of a second split module. A mixed module comprising at least two such split modules, wherein the split modules are connected to each other by means of their fastening element. A modular connector assembly for automotive applications comprising: a connector housing with at least one module slot; wherein the at least one module slot accommodates such a mixed module. A method for manufacturing such a modular connector assembly.
