Abstract

The invention provides a method for proving authenticity of a one-time signature of data of a performance-limited client towards a recipient of the data. A server is consulted that shares a joint secret (sk1) with the client (CL). A public key (PK) of the one-time signature is shared among the server (SE) and the client (CL) while being integrity protected using a symmetric cryptographic algorithm based on the joint secret (sk1). The server (SE) verifies the integrity of the public key (PK) of the one-time signature using the joint secret (sk1) and proves the validity of the public key (PK) to the recipient (RE).
