Abstract
This application relates to the field of communication technologies, and provides a communication method and a related device. The method is applied to an electronic device, and includes: sending retransmission information of a physical downlink control channel PDCCH for a first system information block SIB 1; determining an available time-frequency domain position of an initial transmission and/or a retransmission of the SIB1 PDCCH; and sending the SIB1 PDCCH in the available time-frequency domain position of the initial transmission and/or the retransmission. Therefore, the SIB1 PDCCH is repeatedly sent for a plurality of times in the determined available time-frequency domain position, so that a corresponding transmission performance requirement can be satisfied, thereby reducing loss of wireless communication, enhancing downlink coverage, and improving communication efficiency.
