Abstract

The invention relates to a firewood preparation machine (1), such as a firewood splitter or a firewood processor, comprising a control system, a hydraulic system, a machine frame, a splitting blade (2), a first hydraulic cylinder to push sawlog pieces towards the splitting blade, splitting blade guides (2a) arranged vertically in the machine frame, and a lifting device (10) further comprising: a second hydraulic valve (11) vertically attached with its housing to the machine frame and provided with an upwards extending piston rod (11a), a crank mechanism (12) associated with the distal end of the piston rod of the second hydraulic cylinder (11) and pivotable around the piston rod axis, a wire cable (13) with a hook (13a) associated with the distal end of the crank mechanism (12). The advantage of the machine of the invention lies in that the splitting blade is replaced without using any physical effort and the work is safe for the user.
