Abstract

An inkjet recording apparatus (100) includes a recording head (17a to 17c), an ink collection tray (80), a driving device (81), a discharge tube (61), a waste ink storage container (62), and a control portion (110). The driving device (81) reciprocates the ink collection tray (80) between a first and a second position. An accommodation space (A1) that can accommodate the discharge tube (61) is formed below the ink collection tray (80). The discharge tube (61)is made of a flexible material with a predetermined restoring force and elastically deforms to enter the accommodation space (A1) to be accommodated in it while the ink collection tray (80) is moving from the first position to the second position.
