Abstract

An inkjet recording apparatus (100) includes a recording head (17a to 17c), an ink collection tray (80), and a detection portion (86). The detection portion (86) has a detection depressed portion (91) that extends downward from the upper surface of the ink collection tray (80), a sensor portion (94) that is provided at a position below a detection height (h1) in the detection depressed portion (91) and that detects contact of the sensor portion (94) with the liquid (L1) flowing into the detection depressed portion (91), and a first wall portion (92) that is formed to surround the detection depressed portion (91) and that prevents the liquid (L1) from entering the detection depressed portion (91) from the ink collection tray (80). The first wall portion (92) has an inlet (95) formed at the detection height (h1) to allow the liquid (L1) to flow from the ink collection tray (80) to the detection depressed portion (91).
