Abstract

A computer system (100) comprising processing circuitry (102) configured to: obtain (200) cab-related data, including at least one of cab type (106), cab volume (108), presence of a sleeper cab (110), and window area (112) of a cab of a vehicle; obtain (202) a parameter indicative of a climate control setting (114) of the cab; obtain (204) a parameter indicative of a status and capacity of a vehicle battery (104); estimate (206) a remaining operational time of the vehicle battery during standstill using a computational model that takes as input at least the obtained cab-related data, the parameter indictive of a climate control setting, and the parameter indicative of the status and capacity of the vehicle battery.
