Abstract

There is described a safety control device (100) for a power management system (200) with a plurality of power modules (110) that are connectable via a power router device (130) to at least one output (120), wherein the safety control device (100) is configured to:i) identify the electric paths of the power modules (110) allocated to the at least one output (120) via the power router device (130);ii) in case of a safety-related issue, select the respective electric path of the identified electric paths associated with the safety-related issue; andiii) individually shut down the selected electric path.Further, the power management system (200) and a method of operating the power management system (200) are described.
