Abstract

This cladding device (100), for a raildroad vehicle carbody, is configured to cover, inside a passenger compartment (V12) of the carbody, a junction between a sidewall and an upper wall of the carbody. A panel portion (105) of the cladding device includes a main panel (110), which is hinged to the upper wall, and a secondary panel (120), which is hinged to the side wall. When the cladding device (100) is in the use configuration, the main panel (110) is in a closed position, where the main panel (110) overlaps the secondary panel (120), so that a secondary edge (108B) of the secondary panel is hidden from the passenger compartment (V12). The cladding device (100) also comprises primary locking means (140, 142), which are configured, in a locked state, to prevent rotation of the main panel relative to the upper wall and which are in the locked state when the cladding device (100) is in the use configuration.
