Abstract
Provided is a method for producing a precursor of a positive electrode active material in which uneven distribution of Mn in the center portion of particles is suppressed. The method for producing a precursor of a positive electrode active material of the present disclosure includes a step of adding a raw material solution containing Ni, Co, Mn, ammonia, an ammonium ion, and a carbonate ion to a precipitation solution to precipitate a carbonate containing Ni, Co, and Mn. The concentration of ammonia in the precipitation solution is lower than the concentration of ammonia in the raw material solution.
