Abstract

A high-pressure tank is provided that ensures sufficient storage capacity for hydrogen-containing gas while reducing weight. The high-pressure tank includes a tank body configured to store therein a mixed gas containing natural gas and hydrogen, the mixed gas containing more than 2% hydrogen by volume. The tank body includes a cylindrical portion extending in a first direction and dome portions respectively provided at both ends of the cylindrical portion in the first direction. A steel material constituting the tank body has a tensile strength of 850 MPa or more, a structure in which tempered martensite accounts for 95% or more in terms of area fraction, and carbides having a size of 100 nm or less dispersed in a metallic microstructure as precipitates, and has strength of 11,250 cycles or more in crack propagation analysis.
