Abstract

A device, circuit, and method for sensing an over-temperature condition. The device may include a plurality of thermistors connected in series with one another. The plurality of thermistors may include a first thermistor configured with a first variable resistance inversely proportional to a first temperature and a second thermistor configured with a second variable resistance inversely proportional to a second temperature. The device may include a plurality of Zener diodes, including a first Zener diode connected in parallel with the first thermistor and a second Zener diode connected in parallel with the second thermistor. The device may include one or more terminals configured to connect a control unit, which may be configured to monitor a voltage across the plurality of thermistors and the plurality of Zener diodes, in parallel with the plurality of thermistors and the plurality of Zener diodes.
