Abstract
An apparatus for diagnosing a battery according to an embodiment of the present disclosure comprises a data obtaining unit configured to obtain battery data including at least one of voltage, current, and temperature of the battery; and a processor configured to estimate a positive electrode active material loss rate of the battery based on the battery data by referring to a first profile provided for estimating a positive electrode active material loss related to cation mixing and a second profile provided for estimating a positive electrode active material loss related to particle cracking.
