Abstract

A computer-implemented method and system (102) for automating the generation of human-machine interface (HMI) screen templates is disclosed. The method involves extracting design parameters, device statuses, and key performance indicators (KPIs) from industrial automation systems modeling interdependencies using a knowledge graph, and resolving ambiguities through prompts sent to a domain-trained large language model. Optimized HMI screen templates are generated based on contextual information, tailored to improve operator responsiveness and usability. The system enables real-time adaptability by updating screen templates in response to factory changes or operator feedback. Validation and simulation modules ensure functionality by simulating operator interactions. Continuous learning updates machine learning models to refine designs based on feedback and evolving requirements. Deployed templates enhance factory operations by improving usability and aligning with operational goals.
