Abstract

The present disclosure provides a search method, a host, and a process near memory (PNM) apparatus, and a host storage system. The search method, when executed by a host may include calling a process near memory (PNM) apparatus to perform a search-related computation on a vector dataset in a vector database; and receiving a result associated with the search-related computation from the PNM apparatus. The search method, when executed by a PNM apparatus may include performing a search-related computation on a vector dataset in a vector database in response to receiving a calling instruction from a host; and returning a result associated with the search-related computation to the host after completion of the search-related computation.
