Abstract
The present disclosure relates to a device, method, and recording medium for topology optimization of a battery cooling plate, specifically for optimizing a cooling passage that cools a battery. The topology optimization device includes a heating value calculation processor configured to calculate a heating value of the battery based on the state of charge (SOC), a finite element analysis processor configured to divide a design area of the battery cooling plate into a plurality of finite elements, assign design variables to the finite elements, and perform finite element analysis based on the heating value and design variables to obtain analysis information, and a topology optimization design processor configured to derive optimal design variables by considering hydraulic loss and thermal compliance, and to design a topology-optimized cooling passage based on the derived optimal design variables.
