Abstract

An object is to enable inexpensive and easy notification of payment evasion. An information processing apparatus includes a detection unit, a tracking unit, an association unit, and a notification unit. The detection unit is configured to detect, based on image information for identifying respective states of a plurality of transaction processing apparatuses on which customers carry out a purchase-related interaction, whether or not each of the plurality of transaction processing apparatuses is in a completed state of the purchase-related interaction. The tracking unit is configured to track movement of the customers. The association unit is configured to associate, based on locations of the customers being tracked, each of the customers with a corresponding one of the transaction processing apparatuses on which the customer carries out the purchase-related interaction. The notification unit is configured to issue a payment evasion notification if a state of the transaction processing apparatus associated with the customer who has moved to a designated location set in advance is not the completed state of the purchase-related interaction.
