Abstract

A battery module includes a housing, a plurality of battery cells accommodated in the housing and each including a vent, a plurality of bus bars connecting neighboring battery cells of the plurality of battery cells, a cover including an inner cover surface facing the plurality of battery cells, and an outer cover surface opposite the inner cover surface, one or more cover holes passing through the inner cover surface and the outer cover surface and facing the vents, and a cover film facing the one or more cover holes and configured to open and close the one or more cover holes.
