Abstract
Retainer for connecting electrical contact terminals, comprising a terminal casing to receive a terminal and a mating terminal; and a spring element, in particular a disc spring element, configured to exert a contact force on at least one of the terminals, when the terminal(s) is/are received in the terminal casing. The spring element includes a contact part designed to exert the contact force, and a release part designed to at least partially remove the contact force during mating of the terminal with the mating terminal when the release part is actuated.
