Abstract
In one embodiment a coil core for an inductive sensor comprises a base part having an inner wall which has a closed-loop cylindrical shape, an outer wall surrounding the inner wall and a ground portion extending perpendicularly from the inner wall towards a center of the base part. The ground portion is prepared for accommodating a coil. The outer wall of the base part comprises at least one flattened section, which is arranged in between two curved sections of the outer wall.
