Abstract
A fastening method fastens a plurality of workpieces having through-holes. The fastening method includes preparing a fastening target group including the plurality of workpieces stacked on one another to form an interconnected hole, heating a rod containing a reinforcing fiber and a thermoplastic resin outside the fastening target group, and inserting the heated rod into the interconnected hole through a second opening to fasten the plurality of workpieces in the fastening target group to one another. The interconnected hole is defined by the through-holes in the plurality of workpieces connecting with one another in a first direction. The interconnected hole includes a first opening and the second opening opposite to the first opening in the first direction.
