Abstract

A process for packaging a detergent product (52) in a container (12) made of a paper-based material comprising: manufacturing the detergent product (52); positioning a box (16) in or on a box carriage system (44), moving the box (16), and while the box (16) moves: providing contact between an opening mechanism (46) located above the box carriage system (44) and a top flap (28) of the box (16) to move the top flap (28) to the open orientation; dispensing detergent product (52) into the box (16); allowing the top flap to move toward the closed orientation; in response to moving the top flap towards the closed orientation, providing the lid (32) to the box (16) to form a closed container (12); and shipping said closed container (12).
