Abstract

A heat exchanger according to a first exemplary embodiment includes multiple flat tubes (40) arranged in a first direction (Z-axis direction), and multiple fins (42) arranged in a second direction (Y-axis direction) and each including a first end edge (42a) and a second end edge (42b) in a third direction (X-axis direction). Each fin includes multiple cutout portions (42c) each of which includes an upper edge and a lower edge extending in the third direction from the first end edge and in each of which a corresponding one of the flat tubes passes through between the upper edge and the lower edge. In addition, each fin includes multiple first spacer portions (46 to 52) provided along the upper edge of each cutout portion and protruding in the second direction to be in contact with another adjacent fin. The first spacer portion (46) closest to the first end edge extends toward the first end edge beyond a first end surface (40a) of the corresponding one of the flat tubes.
