Abstract

Discomfort of vehicle occupants caused by noise when a road surface condition switches is more effectively reduced. An information processing apparatus (10) includes a controller (11) configured to acquire audio information on noise, detected by a microphone (15), generated during traveling of a vehicle (50), generate a cancellation sound for canceling road noise, the road noise occurring due to unevenness of a road surface (G) on which the vehicle (50) is traveling, based on the acquired audio information, and cause a speaker (16) to output the generated cancellation sound. The controller (11) is configured to acquire road surface information indicating a condition of the road surface (G) in a direction in which the vehicle (50) is traveling, detect a switching point at which a condition of unevenness of the road surface (G) switches based on the acquired road surface information, and, in response to detecting the switching point, cause the speaker (16) to output a noise sound simulating the road noise in a predetermined transition section in which a degree of unevenness of the road surface before or after the vehicle (50) passes the switching point during traveling is smaller.
