Abstract

The invention is concerned with a a method, slip estimating arrangement, computer program and computer program for estimating slip of a motor as well with a machine comprising such a motor. In the method slip estimating functionality of the slip estimating arrangement obtains (S100) an input current to the machine, obtains (S110) values of the power being input into the machine and estimates (S130) the slip of the motor based on a first expression defining a relationship between an absolute value of a squared input current space vector of the input current and the input power to the machine.
