Abstract

The present disclosure provides a method for verification of a signature comprising an unbalanced oil-and-vinegar signature. The method includes accepting a compressed public key as a verification key, repeatedly limiting decompression of the compressed public key to a strictly smaller part into an uncompressed part of the key, using the uncompressed part of the key for verifying a part of the verification condition, and continuing until the verification condition is fully verified. The method allows for efficient signature verification while minimizing memory usage by selectively decompressing only necessary portions of the public key during the verification process.
