A connection device (1) for connecting to a data device (2) and to a secure article (3) is connectable to the data device (2) and to the secure article (3) such, that the data device (2) is connectable to the secure article (3) via the connection device (1). The connection device (1) comprises at least one security element (4) that is configured to exhibit at least one response spectrum (5) upon illumination with electromagnetic radiation (R). The security element (4) is configured and arranged such, that its response spectrum (5) is representing at least one response code (6) that is comparable with at least one reference response code, and wherein a match between the response code (6) and the reference response code is indicative of an authenticity of the connection device (1).

A data carrier (1) for a secure article (1000) extends along an extension direction (E) and comprises a carrier body (2), at least one lens array (3), and at least one security element (4). The lens array (3) is arranged above the security element (4) with respect to the extension direction (E) and the security element (4) is arranged within the carrier body (2). The lens array (3) and the security element (4) are configured such, that an appearance of the security element (4) changes depending on a viewing angle (α1; α2) under which the data carrier (1) is viewed. The data carrier (1) comprises at least one laser marking (5), and wherein, when seen along the extension direction (E), the laser marking (5) extends from the lens array (3) at least partially through the carrier body (2) towards the security element (4).

The invention relates to a smartcard dual-interface module comprising an IC (300) and a single side PCB (100) comprising a conductive layer and an insulating layer. The conductive layer is engraved with a first and second series of contact areas (101 to 106, A1, A2). The first series of contact areas (101 to 106) are intended to be connected to a contact reader. The second series of contact areas (A1, A2) being intended to connect an antenna (610) located inside a smartcard body (600). A semi-finished product (1) for a data carrier (100) for a secure article comprises a carrier layer (2) and at least one metallization (3). The metallization (3) is arranged on the carrier layer (2) with respect to an extension direction (Es) of the semi-finished product (1). The metallization (3) is configured to change an appearance upon irradiation of electromagnetic radiation for producing at least one security element (11). The carrier layer (2) comprises or consists of at least one polycarbonate.

A method for manufacturing at least one product comprises cutting 12 at least one lamination plate into at least two lamination stripes 21, 22, 23, 24 and 25, each of the at least two lamination stripes being associated with at least one of the at least one product to be laminated 211, 212, 213 and 214.
