Method whereby a gas is first compressed by a multistage compressor (1) and then dried by a pressure swing adsorber (50). The pressure swing adsorber comprises a first chamber (10) including a first adsorbent (13). This first chamber is fed with humid gas from an output of the last stage (1 c) of the compressor and it delivers dried gas for a user. The pressure swing adsorber further comprises a second chamber (20) including a second adsorbent (23) which may previously have adsorbed moisture from the gas. In order to regenerate the second adsorbent and to desorb the moisture, a part of said dried gas is fed into the second chamber and the second chamber is vented into an interstage gas inlet (5) of the compressor instead of into the atmosphere, thereby improving the total efficiency of the method. A device for implementing this method is also provided.

The present invention relates to an air-cooled condenser (1) for condensing steam. The air-cooled condenser comprises one or more roof-shaped heat exchanger assemblies(51,52,53,54,55,56). A plenum space (60) is located between a top boundary delineated by the one or more roof-shaped heat exchanger assemblies (13,14) and a bottom boundary delineated by a deck cover (17). A ducted fan (5) is provided for generating an air-flow. The air-cooled condenser according to the invention comprises an air-flow diffuser (8) having an air inlet side connected to an upper side of the cylindrical duct (7) of the ducted fan and an air outlet side coupled with the deck cover such that, when in operation, an air-flow generated by the fan is flowing through the air-flow diffuser before entering the plenum space via a deck opening (18) in the deck cover. The cross sectional area and the height of the air-flow diffuser are optimized to reduce the electrical power consumption of the fan.

The subject matter of the present invention is a kit comprising a docking station (100) and a removable protective cover (200) for respectively charging and protecting a portable electronic device (300). Guides (111, 121, 131,...) are arranged on the docking station (100) to slidingly guide the portable electronic device (300) towards a charging connector (101) of the docking station. The protective cover (200) comprises through holes (211, 221, 231,...) which are arranged to correspond to the arrangement of the guides. A kit according to the invention allows the guiding of the device into the docking station, irrespective of the presence or the absence of the protective cover on the device.
