The present invention relates to a personal care device, in particular skin treatment device such as electric shaver, comprising an elongated handle for manually moving the personal care device along a body surface, a working head attached to said handle for effecting a personal care treatment to said body surface, at least one detector for detecting at least one behavioural parameter indicative of a user's behaviour when handling the personal care device, and and an adjusting mechanism for adjusting at least one working parameter of the working head in response to the detected behavioural parameter. A calibration device is provided for calibrating the relation between the adjustment of the at least one working parameter by the adjusting mechanism to the detected behavioural parameter in response to the history of the detected behavioural parameter as well as current values thereof.

The present invention relates to cutting body hair such as beard stubbles of multidays' beard. More particularly, the present invention relates to a cutter system (3) for an electric shaver and/or trimmer (1), comprising an inner cutting element (5) and an outer cutting element (4) forming a pair of cooperating cutting elements (4, 5) with at least one row of comb-like outer cutting teeth (6) extending parallel to a first axis (I), wherein said cutting elements (4, 5) are movably supported relative to each other. Skin irritation may be reduced by the at least one row of comb-like outer cutting teeth (6) having, at a position of 0.2 mm away from the tip, a ratio between tooth width in a direction perpendicular to said first axis (I) and width of an opening slot between two adjacent teeth between 1.0 and 2.0.

The present disclosure is concerned with a head for a personal care device having a carrier having a front surface, at least one cleaning element partly embedded in the carrier and thus having an embedded cleaning element portion and a non-embedded cleaning element portion, the non-embedded cleaning element portion extending from the front surface of the carrier between a base end on the front surface and a free end and the embedded cleaning element portion extending from the front surface between a top end on the front surface and a bottom end, wherein the base end of the non-embedded cleaning element portion has a base end cross-sectional shape and a base end cross-sectional area, and the top end of the embedded cleaning element portion has a top end cross-sectional shape that is different to the base end cross-sectional shape and a top end cross-sectional area that is larger than the base end cross-sectional area.

The present invention relates to cutting body hair such as beard stubbles of multidays' beard. More particularly, the present invention relates to a cutter system 3 for an electric shaver and/or trimmer 1, comprising a pair of cooperating cutting elements 4, 5 with two rows of comb-like cutting teeth 6, 7 at opposite edges thereof and at least one field of cutting perforations 8 between said rows of comb-like cutting teeth, which cutting perforations are formed in a skin contact surface or skin facing surface 50 of said cutting elements, wherein said cutting elements are movably supported relative to each other by a support structure 14 which provides for a pivot axis 21 about which said cooperating cutting elements are pivotable to follow the skin contour, said pivot axis extending substantially parallel to a longitudinal direction of said rows of comb-like cutting teeth. Said pivot axis is eccentrically positioned closer to a first one of said rows of comb-like cutting teeth than to a second one of said rows of comb-like cutting teeth, said first row of comb-like cutting teeth forming a leading edge going ahead when moving the cutter system along the skin in a common moving direction intuitively preferred by a majority of users and said second row forming a trailing edge.
