It is described to provide (210) at least one image, the at least one image relating to a scene external to a vehicle. Dictionary information is provided (220), wherein the dictionary information is generated on the basis of a plurality of images, and wherein at least some of the image data of the plurality of images is image data associated with at least one road sign. It is determined (230) if a particular type of road sign is present in the at least one image on the basis of image processing of the at least one image and the dictionary information. The image processing comprises determining (232) a distance and spatial relationship for at least one pixel value in the at least one image. Driving warning information is output (240) if the particular type of road sign is determined to be present. |

The invention relates to a method for determining the architecture of an encoder (2) of a convolutional neural network (1), the neural network (1) being configured to process multiple different image processing tasks (t1, t2, t3), the method comprising the steps of:- for each image processing task (t1, t2, t3)), calculating characteristic scale distribution based on training data (S10);- generating multiple encoder architecture candidates, each encoder architecture of said encoder architecture candidates comprising at least one shared encoder layer (SL) which provides computational operations for multiple image processing tasks and multiple branches (b1, b2, b3) which span over one or more encoder layers which provide at least partly different computational operations for said image processing tasks, wherein each branch (b1, b2, b3) is associated with a certain image processing task (t1, t2, t3) (S11);- calculating receptive field sizes of the encoder layers of said multiple encoder architectures (S12);- calculating multiple assessment measures, each assessment measure referring to a combination of a certain encoder architecture of said multiple encoder architectures and a certain image processing task (t1, t2, t3), each assessment measure including information regarding the quality of matching of characteristic scale distribution of the image processing task (t1, t2, t3) associated with the assessment measure to the receptive field sizes of the encoder layers of the encoder architecture associated with the assessment measure (S13);- comparing the calculated assessment measures and establishing a comparison result (S14); and- selecting an encoder architecture based on the comparison result (S15). |

This patent relates to ego motorcycle on-board awareness raising system placed in an ensemble consisting in an ego motorcycle and an ego motorcycle rider smart helmet, provided with advanced driver assistance systems camera acquiring video streams and further comprising: a radar module; a gyroscope, a GPS sensor; an acceleration sensor; a speedometer, an ego motorcycle on-board unit communicating with other vehicles via the Vehicle-to-Everything communication channel and reading autonomous vehicle identifier; an on-board detection processing unit and a bus system for connecting components.The method for detecting and displaying presence of autonomous vehicle comprises receiving data regarding other vehicles driving in motorcycle rider's field of view and regarding the ego motorcycle rider, performing processing of video stream, creating of a fused environment road model, applying simultaneous localization and mapping algorithm for localizing the ego motorcycle in the fused road environment, detecting and marking in said processed video stream the presence of autonomous vehicles, applying correction to the marking and sending the result of detected autonomous vehicles to the smart helmet visor in an understandable manner by the motorcycle rider.The computer program when executed on the ego motorcycle on-board detection processing unit causes the execution of the steps related to the detection of the autonomous vehicles driving in motorcycle rider's field of view. |
