The appliance comprises an electric power supply assembly (130,330,430) configured to receive an AC supply voltage and to provide a DC supply voltage ( V DC ) therefrom, the DC supply voltage ( V DC ) being adapted to power electrically-operated devices of the appliance (100). The electric power supply assembly (130,330,430) comprises an output module for providing the DC supply voltage ( V DC ), and a control unit (215) electrically coupled to at least one component (C) of the output module for receiving a test DC supply voltage ( V DC,TEST ) corresponding to the DC supply voltage ( V DC ). The control unit (215) is further configured to provide fault indications indicative that the least one component (C) of the output module is affected by damages upon detecting that said test DC supply voltage ( V DC,TEST ) has a value outside a values range comprising a predetermined value of the test DC supply voltage ( V DC,TEST ). |

The invention relates to a laundry dryer comprising: a front frame (30) extending from a base region to an upper region at the front region of the dryer; a rear frame extending from the base region to an upper region at the rear region of the dryer; a laundry storing compartment adapted to receive laundry to be treated, wherein the laundry storing compartment is arranged or is essentially arranged between the front frame (30) and the rear frame; a front wall (8) of the dryer which is at least partially supported by the front frame (30); a liquid reservoir (400); a water supplying or receiving component in fluid connection with the water reservoir (400); and at least one water conduit providing a water guiding connection between the water reservoir (400) and the water supplying or receiving component. According to the invention the water reservoir (400) is arranged between the front wall (8) and the front frame (30); the water supplying or receiving component is arranged within the dryer body; a water level detection unit (410) is arranged for detecting the water level in the water reservoir (400); an indicator unit (430) provides level indicators (432, 434, 436) showing the current water level in the reservoir; and a control unit (300) effects laundry treatment programs depending on the detected water level in the reservoir (400). |

The invention relates to an induction hob comprising a circuitry (1a) for powering at least one induction coil (6), the circuitry (1a) comprising a power circuit portion (7) with at least one switching element (4, 5) adapted to provide pulsed electric power to said induction coil (6) and an oscillating circuit portion (9) comprising at least one resonance capacitor (9.1, 9.2) which is associated with a resonance capacitor voltage, said induction coil (6) being electrically coupled with said power circuit portion (7) and said oscillating circuit portion (9), wherein said induction hob comprises a control entity (10), said control entity (10) being configured to provide and/or receive resonance capacitor information, specifically, sampled resonance capacitor voltage values, applying a discrete mathematical transformation to the resonance capacitor information thereby obtaining modified resonance capacitor information, said control entity (10) being further configured to calculate first and second electrical information related to the induction coil (6), specifically information regarding the amplitude of the electric current (Ic) provided through said induction coil (6) and information regarding the phase delay between the electric current (Ic) provided through said induction coil (6) and the voltage applied to the induction coil (6) based on said modified resonance capacitor information. |
