A flutter control system (10) for a turbomachine fan includes a plurality of fan case sensors (12;38) located at a fan case of the turbomachine and configured to sense passing of blade tips of a fan of the turbomachine. A controller (30) is operably connected to the plurality of fan case sensors (12;38). A variable fan area nozzle actuator (32) is operably connected to the controller (30), such that the variable fan area nozzle actuator (32) urges a change in fan nozzle area (30) in response to data from the plurality of fan case sensors (12;38) indicating flutter or near flutter conditions. A method of flutter control for a turbomachine fan includes sensing a blade tip passing of a plurality of fan blades (18). Data from a plurality of fan case sensors (12;38) are compared to a threshold and a fan exit area (36) is changed based on the comparison to dampen flutter of the plurality of fan blades. |

The modulator generates a modulated voltage for the second LED panel (14), where the second priority data are displayed at a modulated brightness. The processor (34) controls the modulator (33), and generates a status signal indicating a failure condition of the modulated voltage. The logic gate (34) switches the first LED panel (12) from the modulated voltage to the unmodulated voltage based on the status signal, whereby the first priority data default from the modulated brightness level to full brightness based on the failure condition. As a matter of fact, this is a new part of the abstract. This is not the way it should work. |

A flight control system (10) includes a dual stage actuator (12) for moving a control surface (14). Each stage (16,18) includes several control valves (20,22,24,26,28,30) that are controlled independently to provide a desired redundancy. A flight controller (32,34,36) generates a position command that is indicative of the position desired for the control surface. A first communication link (38) is provided between several flight controllers (32,34,36) to share information. Each of the flight controllers forwards the position command to actuator remote processing unit (40,42,44). The actuator remote processing unit receive position commands and generate a command signal that controls movement of the actuator (12) using the control valves. Each of the actuator remote processing units is linked through a second communication link (46). Feedback and balancing of the different control valves is provided by the visibility accorded each actuator remote processing unit by the second communication link. |
