Various embodiments disclose a computer-implemented method comprising causing playback of a first audio input an audio source by at least one speaker within a vehicle, detecting a second a first audio input using a microphone that is movable within the vehicle, modifying at least one audio property of the second first audio input to generate a modified second first audio input, and causing playback of the modified second first audio input by the at least one speaker within the vehicle.

An audio system in a vehicle includes at least one controller including one or more processors being programmed to provide an output audio signal; a first integrated circuit (IC) configured to drive a first loudspeaker; and a first switch including: a first terminal being operably coupled to a first feedback wire from the first loudspeaker, a second terminal being operably coupled to a component of the first IC, and a third terminal being operably coupled with the one or more processors, wherein the first switch is configured to selectively connect the first terminal to one of the second terminal or the third terminal.

An integrated wireless audio unit (WAU) for a vehicle audio system is disclosed herein, that can take a plurality of audio streams as input, and output the audio streams to a plurality of output devices, where the output transmission is low latency (e.g., less than 15ms end-to-end) and time-synchronous (e.g., with no float or drift in latency). The input streams may be received via various protocols in the digital or analog domain, and the WAU may mix, blend, and process the input streams to generate the output streams, and broadcast the output streams to audio devices within the vehicle. The WAU may employ various strategies for synchronizing different types of audio streams, based on relevant factors. As a result, audio playback at the vehicle may be performed with tighter integration with vehicle speakers and tactile transducers, and a flexibility in routing the audio streams may be increased.

An audio system for a vehicle, the system includes a first loudspeaker of a plurality of loudspeakers configured to transmit a first audio test signal including at least one first audio property into a listening environment; one or more microphones configured to capture the first audio test signal; and at least one controller programmed to employ a beamforming operation to adjust a direction of the microphone toward the first loudspeaker; store information corresponding to at least one first predetermined audio property that is indicative of the first loudspeaker properly functioning; compare the at least one first audio property of the captured first audio test signal to the first predetermined audio property; and transmit a message indicative of the first loudspeaker exhibiting a failure based on the at least one first audio property not being similar to the first predetermined audio property.

In at least one embodiment, an audio system is provided. The audio system includes an audio controller and a measurement controller. The audio controller is programmed to transmit a control signal and an audio input signal. The amplifier is programmed to process the control signal and transmit the processed control signal on a control bus. The amplifier is further programmed to execute the processed control signal at at least one processor to perform an operation on the audio input signal. The measurement controller is programmed to determine a total time delay for performing the operation on the audio input signal at the amplifier. The total time delay corresponds to (i) a first-time delay associated with at least processing the control signal; (ii) a second time delay associated with at least transmitting the processed control signal; and (iii) a third time delay associated with at least executing the processed control signal.

A loudspeaker arrangement comprises a loudspeaker including a diaphragm to transmit an audio output, a light source, and a waveguide surrounding the diaphragm, and configured to control directivity of the audio output, wherein the waveguide comprises an entrance at a first axial end, a mouth at a second axial end of the waveguide opposite the entrance, and a throat extending between the entrance and the mouth, the loudspeaker is positioned at the entrance of the waveguide, and the throat of the waveguide includes at least one surface area of a first kind and at least one surface area of a second kind, wherein each surface area of the at least one surface area of the first kind extends between the entrance and the mouth of the waveguide at a first angle with respect to a central axis, and wherein each surface area of the at least one surface area of the second kind extends between the entrance and the mouth of the waveguide at a second angle with respect to a central axis of the waveguide, wherein the second angle is greater than the first angle, and wherein the central axis of the waveguide is a line that is perpendicular to plane defined by the entrance of the waveguide and intersects the entrance plane at its center.

A method, system and computer program for generating a personalized experience for an occupant of a vehicle includes: capturing first occupant related data and processing the first occupant related data to estimate state and arousal of the occupant; capturing second occupant related data and processing the second occupant related data to estimate emotions and valence of the occupant; estimating a personality trait based on the state and arousal of the occupant, and the emotions and valence of the occupant; and generating the personalized experience for the occupant based on the personality trait of the occupant and at least one of the state and arousal of the occupant and the emotions and valence of the occupant, the personalized experience for the occupant comprising at least one of an acoustic presentation, a visual presentation, an olfactory presentation and a tactile presentation

Embodiments of the present disclosure provide a display control method and apparatus, a computer program product, and a computer-readable storage medium. The method provided by the embodiments of the present disclosure starts, based on an acquired trigger signal, performing tracking of a user indicated by the trigger signal by a display, where, by using a camera to attempt to capture a head image of the user, in a case where the head image of the user is captured, the display may be rotated to be directed toward the head of the user by determining a head position of the user, and in a case where the head image of the user is not captured, the display may be rotated based on an indication of the trigger signal, so as to attempt to capture the head image of the user in the process of rotating the display, and in a case where the head image of the user is captured, the display may be rotated to be directed toward the head of the user, thereby achieving tracking of the head of the user, so as to cause the display to maintain an optimal viewable angle for the user.

An apparatus for performing in-vehicle communication, the vehicle comprising a memory device; and a master controller including the memory device, the master controller is operatively coupled to one or more slave controllers via a data communication bus, the master controller being programmed to transmit a message including a digital index indicator (DII), and one or more data frames to a slave controller of the one or more slave controllers via the data communication bus, and the slave controller including an onboard storage, is programmed to responsive to receiving the message, identify one of the data frames as including an index identification using the DII, load a registry value from the onboard storage using the index identification, and perform a vehicle operation using the registry value.

The application relates to a method for operating a multimedia system with encoding a key sequence into a multimedia stream in order to generate an amended multimedia stream, the key sequence comprising a predefined sequence of numbers. The amended multimedia stream with the encoded key sequence is transmitted to a remote processing entity for a remote processing of the amended multimedia stream, and a multimedia stream is received from the remote processing entity. It is determined whether the received multimedia stream includes the encoded key sequence, wherein in response to determining that the received multimedia stream does not include the encoded key sequence, the multimedia system uses, for an output of the multimedia system a locally processed multimedia stream processed locally within the multimedia system.
