A total knee prosthesis (100) includes a femoral component (110) and a tibial component (160). The femoral component (110) includes medial and lateral condyles (122, 132) defining an intercondylar notch (140) therebetween. The femoral component (110) further includes a spherical member (142) and a cam member (146) disposed within the intercondylar notch (140). The tibial component (160) includes a post (180) defining a recess (182) thereon sized to fit the spherical member (142) of the femoral component (110). At some positions of flexion of the knee prosthesis (100), the spherical member (142) may rotate with respect to the post recess (182), allowing the femoral component (110) to articulate with respect to the tibial component (160). At some positions of flexion of the knee prosthesis (100), the cam member (146) may contact the post (180) of the tibial member (160), causing a translation of the spherical member (142) within the post recess (182) and allowing articulation of the femoral component (110) with respect to the tibial component (160). |

A system for implanting an expandable interbody implant into an intervertebral space includes an elongated tool, the distal end of which is removably securable to the implant. The proximal end of the tool has an attachment interface for detachable securement to a plurality of different modules, each of which is adapted to effectuate a different function of the delivery system. The different functions include: grasping the implant delivery tool, providing an impaction surface for driving the advancement of the implant, supplying a graft material into the implant, and actuating the expansion of the implant. One of the modules may include a fluid delivery system for supplying hydraulic fluid to expand the implant. A fluid reservoir of the fluid delivery system may be oriented transverse to the cannula that delivers the fluid to the implant. A grafting block can be used to help pre-pack the implant with graft material. |

A robotic system includes a machining station and a guidance station. The guidance station tracks movement of various objects in the operating room, such as a surgical tool, a humerus of a patient, and a scapula of the patient. The guidance station tracks these objects for purposes of controlling movement of the surgical tool relative to virtual cutting boundaries or other virtual objects associated with the humerus and scapula to facilitate preparation of bone to receive a shoulder implant system. The virtual objects are located based on density data of the bone such that, when one or more shoulder implants are fully seated in the bone, distal portions of the implants are located in a first region of the bone having a density characteristic greater than an adjacent second region of the bone. |

Expandable spinal interbody implants include a body and at least one extendable support element connected thereto. Such an implant may include a second extendable support element and a tool selectively positionable with respect to the implant so as to independently or simultaneously expand both extendable support elements. In another example, such an implant may include, at each of a first and second location, a respective movable member and a respective locking element. The at least one extendable support element may be actuatable to expand so as to induce movement of at least one of the movable members away from the body. The locking elements at each of the first and second locations may be selectively lockable such that, when locked, the locking element restrains movement of the associated movable member at that location away from the body without restraining movement of the other movable member away from the body. |
