A method for security and safety of an industrial operation includes receiving sensor information from a plurality of sensors of an industrial operation. Sensor information from at least a portion of the plurality sensors is used for functionality of a plurality of components of the industrial operation. The method includes monitoring data traffic of the industrial operation, and deriving a baseline signature from the sensor information. The baseline signature encompasses a range of normal operating conditions. The method includes identifying an abnormal operating condition of the industrial operation based on a comparison between additional sensor information from the plurality of sensors and the baseline signature and identifying an abnormal data traffic condition. The method includes determining that the abnormal operating condition correlates to the abnormal data traffic condition, and sending a security alert in response to determining that the abnormal operating condition correlates to the abnormal data traffic condition. |

An industrial integrated development environment (IDE) supports collaborative tools that allow multiple designers and programmers to remotely submit design input to the same automation system project in parallel while maintaining project consistency. A control module for a reversing contactor includes a housing configured to mount to forward and reverse contactors. The control module is configured to receive command signals for the forward and reverse contactors and provide the command signals to an interlock circuit included within the housing of the control module. The interlock circuit is configured to use the forward and reverse commands as well as feedback signals corresponding to the current status of the contactors to prevent both the forward and reverse contactors from being closed in tandem. The control module is also configured to mount to contactors having different physical sizes. The housing may be configured as a telescoping housing, where one portion of the housing is fixed and a second portion of the housing slides with respect to the fixed portion of the housing to adjust the width of the control module. |

An industrial integrated development environment (IDE) is extended to support creation of device profiles using an intuitive graphical development environment. The environment comprises a device profile development interface that allows a user to select device profile views to be included in a device profile for an industrial device, and to submit edits to the underlying code for the selected device profile views. The system can then generate a new device profile from the modified device profile code. The device profile can be registered with the industrial IDE and used to view and edit device parameters of a corresponding industrial device. The device profile development environment also supports dynamic validation of profile view edits, rendering of graphical previews of the modified device profile view, and submission of both code-based and graphical profile view edits. |

In response to identifying an anomaly, the computing device performs an action to mitigate damage from the anomaly. |
