Described systems and methods may enable control of equipment using a response generated by an LLM and a model for the equipment. The techniques may include receiving a prompt related to an operation of an industrial automation equipment. The techniques may also include providing the prompt as an input to a Large Language Model (LLM) that stores information related to the industrial automation equipment. Further, the techniques include retrieving identifier information as an output of the LLM. Further still, the techniques include determining that a process parameter related to the operation of the industrial automation equipment is accessible by the computing system based on the identifier information. Further still, the techniques include obtaining a model for the operation based on the process parameter being accessible, generating a response to the prompt based on the model, controlling the industrial automation equipment based on the response.

A system for generating a human-machine interface (HMI) from control code having standard objects. Control code is generated from a model of an automation system suitable for generating a three-dimensional rendering of the automation system and simulating the automation system. The model may also be used for is used for SIL and HIL testing. Standard objects form the control code are used to generate an HMI that includes status indicators for an actuator and control elements for an actuator. The generated HMI is linked to the data sources for the status indicators and the actuator controlled by the control elements. Interacting with the HMI causes a change in the behavior (e.g., position, etc.) of the actuators and results in affecting a condition of the process control environment.

A human-machine interface (HMI) development system leverages a generative AI model to assist in development of HMI projects in accordance with specified functional requirements, which can be provided to the development system as intuitive natural language spoken or written text. The system can formulate and implement HMI project edits during design time based on analysis of this natural language design input. After the HMI project is deployed as a runtime application, the system can also receive and process natural language requests to modify the runtime HMI in accordance with described modification criteria.

Described herein are methods and systems for efficiently and accurately distinguishing between the current characteristics associated with inrush current and the current characteristics associated with a short circuit. In particular, the techniques described herein allow a circuit breaking system (also referred to as a circuit breaking device) to tolerate the conditions associated with inrush current while maintaining the ability to detect and responsively mitigate conditions associated with a short circuit. In some cases, the circuit breaking system evaluates the current characteristics of an input signal generated by a power supply in order to drive an industrial device, such as a motor. In such cases, the circuit breaking system acts as an intermediary between the power supply and the industrial device, and under certain circumstances, the circuit breaking system interrupts the flow of electrical energy (i.e., the input signal) to the industrial device, thereby tripping the circuit breaking system.

Described herein are methods and systems for providing a suite assistant associated with a suite of industrial automation software applications. The suite assistant receives queries from a user via an interface that requests assistance with some aspect of industrial automation system design, management, evaluation, diagnostics, and the like. The suite assistant processes the query, identifies an industrial automation software application that is most beneficial with respect to the query and identifies one or more selections for configurable elements of the software application. The suite assistant then deploys an instance of the industrial automation software application, prepopulates the industrial automation software application with the selections and configurations, and provides the preconfigured industrial automation software application to the user via the interface in response to the query.

Disclosed is a corrosion resistant power electronic module having a metal-ceramic substrate including a ceramic layer and a metallic layer, where the metallic layer includes metal bonded to the ceramic layer such that trenches are formed between portions of the metal through which the surface of the ceramic layer is exposed. In a first embodiment, portions of the exposed surface of the ceramic layer are melted in the trenches to modify the surface layer, lowering the roughness, which inhibits corrosion growth in corrosive gas environments. In a second embodiment, a barrier material is disposed within the trenches and bonded to the exposed surface of the ceramic layer such that once bonded, the barrier material does not physically contact the metal of the metallic layer. In a third embodiment, the ceramic layer comprises a high density, ultra-low roughness ceramic insulator.

A non-transitory computer readable medium stores instructions that, when executed by processing circuitry, cause the processing circuitry to receive a command to deploy a data integration pipeline configured to process operational data generated during operation of an industrial automation system, retrieve a data integration pipeline template from a library, wherein the data integration pipeline template includes a plurality of generic components, build the data integration pipeline by replacing the plurality of generic components with a plurality of respective runtime components based on one or more compute capabilities of a runtime environment, and deploying the data integration pipeline to the runtime environment.

A non-transitory computer readable medium stores instructions that, when executed by processing circuitry, cause the processing circuitry to receive, at a data integration pipeline, operational data generated by a data source during operation of an industrial automation system, generate context data for the operational data, wherein the context data identifies the data source of the operational data, generate lineage data for the operational data, wherein the lineage data includes a chain of custody of the operational data from the data source to the data integration pipeline, and transmit the operational data, the context data, and the lineage data for storage, processing, integration, display, or a combination thereof.
